Hmmm, I thought the Obama war-anecdote quabble was behind us
But the top story on SF Gate today for a while carried the following headline: “Obama’s story may be credible” (emphasis mine, and they’ve since changed it to “Obama’s Army Story Credible”)
In my mind, ABC’s Political Punch blog put this story to bed the day after it surfaced at last week’s debate in Austin. Jake Tapper did this crazy thing. He contacted the source, who mostly corroborated Obama’s account.
I’m not about to start stealing pages from the Clinton book, but that original headline smacks of unfairness. I guess someone at SF Gate agreed, per the edit.
