Weird!
This site says you may just have gotten eggs from a “young hen” who apparently lay more doubles than usual, and since they’re doubles they are larger and get moved up to the “big hens” cartons.

Wow, that site provides a lot of interesting tidbits of info. Jeff, our Auntie Binks often gives us eggs that her chickens lay and they come in all sizes and shapes and colors. I think I’ve only gotten a twin once before in my Trader Joe’s Organic Free Range carton, but I just thought what any other Chinese person would…. Two for One!
