The Results Are In (Let the Buyer Beware!)

Something’s up. The package says “Free Range” and “Organic,” which I would take to mean NO FUCKING HORMONES!!!

Postscript: the last egg of the bunch, which, based soley on its appearance, was obviously not laid by the same drug-ridden poor hen, was a reassuring single-yolker. I can breathe again.…

    This site says you may just have gotten eggs from a “young hen” who apparently lay more doubles than usual, and since they’re doubles they are larger and get moved up to the “big hens” cartons.

  2. Wow, that site provides a lot of interesting tidbits of info. Jeff, our Auntie Binks often gives us eggs that her chickens lay and they come in all sizes and shapes and colors. I think I’ve only gotten a twin once before in my Trader Joe’s Organic Free Range carton, but I just thought what any other Chinese person would…. Two for One!
